The Department of Urologic Sciences at The University of British Columbia, Canada invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD) Blusson Spinal Cord Centre, Vancouver.

The position will be primarily at the Urology Lab inside ICORD.

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual familiar with near-infrared data collection. Education and prior experience in biomedical engineering, computer science, or engineering. Knowledge and experience with optical data collection in humans at a doctoral level.

The focus of this work is the collection of novel human data involving a combination of optical technologies and urodynamics studies. We are examining the lower urinary tract and its associated functions.

The aim is to provide persons living with spinal cord injury/neurogenic bladder with a means to better identify physiologic changes that will enable them to better manage their symptoms and chronic aspects of their disease. The project involves data collection and analysis of the relationship between optical signals derived from physiologic events with other lower urinary tract parameters.

Preference will be given to individuals who have experience working with an interdisciplinary team.
