The Bloorview Research Institute at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (Toronto, Canada) is pleased to announce the 2017 Pursuit Award competition. This international award recognizes outstanding achievements in childhood disability research by current PhD students and those who have defended their PhD thesis in the last year.

Up to three prizes will be awarded and finalists may be eligible for a post-doctoral fellowship at the Bloorview Research Institute, Canada’s only hospital embedded childhood disability research institute. Finalists will be invited to present their research in person at an award ceremony at Holland Bloorview. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

The Bloorview Research Institute conducts transformational research in pediatric rehabilitation, with a focus on areas of strategic clinical importance. The Pursuit Award is made possible by the generous support of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, the Ward Family, and the Bloorview Research Institute.


Eligibility Summary

Current PhD students (no more than 6 months away from defence), post-doctoral trainees or recent graduates may apply. Any applied or clinical research specifically linked to childhood disability is eligible for consideration.
