Project Description

As part of the Composites Research Network (CRN), my research project is focussed on the computational prediction of the structural behaviour in fibre reinforced composites used in the aerospace and the automotive applications. The goal is to develop and provide a reliable, robust and easy-to-use method for the simulation of composites under quasi static and dynamic loads. The reseach includes a combination of nonlinear finite element analysis, fracture mechanics and the experimental quantification of damage.
