Project Description

Senior IEEE member with current appointment as the Mining for Miracles Postdoctoral Fellow at UBC (2016–present). 10+ years of experience in the field of data analysis and evaluation with specialized  training in Big Data Analysis, and Leadership in Education from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Vast experience in the areas of evaluation and data visualization including work in Global Health with the PRE-EMPT Initiative (funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) and at the Institute for Media Innovation at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Specialize in bridging the areas of medicine, engineering, computer science, psychology and neuroscience and for knowledge translation. Experienced project leader with special skills in the areas of research project strategic planning, implementation and evaluation, team-building, budgeting and stakeholder negotiations. Current appointment as VP of External Affairs with the Canadian Postdoctoral Association and UBC Postdoctoral Association; duties include engaging and negotiating with stakeholders, association and institution promotion and advocacy, performance review of current programs and projects, and strategic planning for projects and events related to the association.
