Title: Postdoctoral position for research in Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science

Two post-doctoral positions are available to work on Knowledge Translation (KT) projects in the Center for Advanced Innovation for Human Brain Protection at Beijing Tiantan Hospital and Capital Medical University.

The overall objective of these projects is to develop community interventions aimed at educating and supporting elderly people in their community to adopt healthy behavior that protects the brain against stroke occurrence, cognitive impairment and progressive dementia.

Specific interventions will focus on promoting physical activity, healthy diet, social participation and brain stimulation (using videos games, artistic expression or cognitive training for example). The approaches include a combination of community educative interventions associated with personalized care and social networks mobilization.   

Supervision and Education: The candidate will work with a team of international researchers with different expertise. Post-doctoral fellows will have the opportunity to attend training courses and symposia in the domain of Implementation Science in China and Canada.

Role and Responsibility: Post-doctoral fellows will be responsible for implementing the field interventions; developing study material; working with community organizations; coordinating the project; organizing data collection and planning analyses.

Requests:

  1. Knowledge: Candidates must have experience or/and interest in community-based behavioral interventions using psycho-social and educative interventions.
  2. Language: Speaking Mandarin is necessary as implementation at city level will require working with the city council and key community stakeholders.

Location: Tiantan Hospital is China Reference Center for Stroke and Brain surgery, with extensive experience in the domains of stroke, small vessels disease and cognitive impairment. The 2000 beds hospital opened in 2018 in the South-West neighborhood of Beijing (Fengtai district).

Salary and lodging: Salary will be commensurate with experience according to Capital University’s rules. Capital University provides lodging to post-doc students.
