3-Minute Postdoc Slam

The 3-Minute Postdoc Slam is back! Share your research and engage a general audience with a single slide in just 3 minutes. The winners bring home cash prizes!

Postdocs of all faculties and departments are welcome to participate in the slam. Everybody is welcome to attend any or all parts of the event.

When: Monday September 18, 2023 at 4-6pm (evening reception from 6-8pm)
Where: Life Sciences Institute, room 1003
Who: UBC-Vancouver Postdocs of all faculties and departments are welcome to participate in the slam. 

REGISTRATION

Register online at http://ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0x0H6O0EtpO1Az4. The deadline for registration is September 1, 2023. Selected presenters will be contacted by September 8 with more details regarding the Slam competition.

Written abstract: 250 word limit.
Visual abstract: Submit one image (jpeg or png) that describes your research. The image can be one of your figures, an infographic, or another visual creation! Use your imagination to best share your research with a community audience. This image should help generate reader interest. These visual abstracts will be shared on social media and with the postdoc community to gather community votes for the Best Visual Abstract Award.
