EURAXESS North America and George Washington University (GWU)'s Institute for International Science and Technology Policy (IISTP) are co-hosting a panel titled AI in Science: Transatlantic Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence for Research. This will be the first event of the year as part of the GWU Seminar Series.

The hybrid meeting will take place in-person at the GWU Elliott School of International Affairs and will also be live-streamed on Zoom. It will take place on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 starting at 10:00 AM ET (7:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM CET). Convert to your local time zone here.

The event is free to the public but advance registration is required. Note that it will be off-the-record and closed to the press. Light refreshments will be provided.

Key discussion points will include AI in science/research, the significance of fostering transatlantic collaboration in AI development and research, common challenges in advancing AI initiatives, ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks for AI, strategies for nurturing AI talent in both regions, and more.
