Hosted at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre and the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit at University College London.
We invite expressions of interest from early career researchers who wish to be sponsored for external career fellowships to establish an independent research group in mechanistic theories of neural computation or learning.
The ideal research programme will link to both the experimental neuroscience at SWC and the theory and machine learning research in the Gatsby Unit.
The selected candidates will be sponsored to apply for an external fellowship. Our support includes:
- Application support, mentoring, and career development
- A collaborative research community across neuroscience and machine learning
- Opportunity to co-mentor SWC and Gatsby PhD students
- Use of core facilities including high-performance computing
