Position Description: The Faculty of Health Sciences, Addictions Counselling Program at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position in treatment research for substance use and behavioural addictive disorders. The postdoctoral fellow will work with a team of health sciences researchers and trainees in a dynamic and interactive environment to analyze, evaluate, disseminate and translate results from a systemic, integrative couple-based treatment implementation research. The position offers a rich opportunity to gain knowledge in integrated research-to-practice strategies to enhance addiction and mental health services in the health system.

Setting: Lethbridge is a growing, diverse city in Southern Alberta, Canada. It is situated on the land of indigenous people in a spectacular setting of unique landforms, and close to the Canadian Rockies. The University of Lethbridge has a reputation for excellence in research and teaching, offering a wide range of courses in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs to a student population of over 8,500, with new certificate and diploma programs in Addictions Counselling and Mental Health.

Education/ Experience: Applicants with a doctoral degree in health sciences, public health, addiction studies, psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, sociology, and biostatistics are welcome to apply.

Term of Employment: This is a 12-month appointment, depending on start date and subject to funder approval. Teaching experience as a sessional instructor may be negotiated.

Responsibilities: Quantitative and qualitative analysis, literature review and synthesis, collaboration on manuscripts for publication with research team, knowledge translation activities, grant proposals.

Supervision & Mentorship: The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr. Bonnie Lee, Board of Governors Research Chair (Tier II), Associate Professor, Addictions Counselling Program, Faculty of Health Sciences.
