Posting Expiry

Outstanding candidates with a PhD in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Motor Control, Physiotherapy, Mechanical Engineering or related fields are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Research Centre of the Montreal Geriatric Institute in Montreal. French speaking is an asset, but English is commonly used in the lab. The applicant must have excellent skills in time series analysis and statistics. The tenure will occur at the Movement Disorders Lab of Pr. Christian Duval who recently received, with his collaborators, funding from the Weston Brain Institute to carry out a project to compare the efficiency of two types of home-based physical activity programs, one using innovative technologies on the mobility of people living with Parkinson’s disease. This fellowship provides an opportunity to engage in research in the areas of physical activity, Parkinson’s disease, technology and gait disorders. Outstanding candidate will be required to apply for Postdoctoral fellowships (bursaries) to provincial and federal funding agencies in early October 2019. We will provide funding for the first year, starting in November 2019. If the applicant is successful, the tenure can be extended for two more years.

Candidates must submit their CV directly to Pr Duval at duval.christian@uqam.ca by August 31st 2019, or until the position is filled.
