Dr. Sofia Bartlett is a postdoctoral research fellow in the clinical prevention services division at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She obtained her Doctorate degree (PhD) in Molecular Epidemiology at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Her research focusses on improving the health of marginalised populations, such as people who inject drugs, people in prison, and people living with hepatitis C infection.
Title: Testing the methodology, reproducibility, reducing error and bias, and critical appraisal of: overviews of systematic reviews, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, network meta-analyses, and clinical practice guidelines.
My research is on the comparative effectiveness of work disaiblity management and return to work policies and practices across Canadian and Australian workers' compensation jurisdictions.
A program of research on the evaluation of workers’ compensation policies and programs, with a particular focus on identifying effective and cost-effective approaches in facilitating early and sustained return-to-work after work-related muskuloskeletal injuries.
