The Postdoctoral Fellows Office (PDFO), in collaboration with SPARC, has completed the second round of the new Internal Review Training Program. This year saw six Postdoctoral Fellow reviewers and three past participant mentors participate in the program. A total of seven faculty proposals were reviewed and submitted to CIHR, three of which received grant funding. Since its inception in 2018, four of the nine submitted proposals reviewed by the training program have received funding within a year of submission.
The PDFO-SPARC Internal Review Training Program was started in 2018 to integrate emerging scholars into SPARC’s Internal Review process. This initiative was designed to enrich the postdoctoral training experience and strengthen the competitiveness of UBC’s grant proposals.
