Learning how to pitch yourself is a vital skill in the job market, where ‘tell me about yourself’ and ‘what do you do?’ are common questions that arise during the job search. In this session, participants will work on developing and delivering compelling personal statements that spark interest so they can answer these and other questions in a professional setting.

This will be an interactive working session in which participants will be encouraged to actively participate. Participants will participate in small groups and may also deliver a brief pitch to the larger group. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Communicate their value in a way that will create curiosity
  • Create impactful personal value statements
  • Deliver an elevator pitch that speaks to their ‘why’

This will be a very interactive session, and some pre-work may be required in advance of the session.
