2016 National Postdoc Appreciation Week BBQ

National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW), sponsored by the National Postdoctoral Association, takes place September 19-23, 2016.  UBC, and especially the PDFO, would like to take this opportunity to thank our Postdocs for their hard work and for all the contributions they have made.  As a token of our appreciation, we will be hosting our Annual BBQ event on Thursday, September 22, 2016 and would be pleased if you could join us.

Now in its seventh year, National Postdoc Appreciation Week will be celebrated across Canada and the U.S. to create awareness of and recognize the contributions that postdocs make to research.  We hope that all supervisors recognize the efforts of their Postdocs during this week of celebration.

Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology are invited to attend a Postdoc Appreciation and Research Night on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM at the Life Sciences Centre. The event will include a social and poster presentation, with prizes for presenting a poster. Registration for this event is requested and available online.

Join the UBC Postdoctoral Association (PDA) for appetizers at Kitsilano's The Eatery, known for its creative sushi rolls and its artsy atmosphere. The PDA will be gathering at The Eatery at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 23, 2016. Please RSVP to Dr. Justin Hart.
