We are looking for a Postdoctoral researcher or Research Associate in the area of Neuroscience to join our lab based at the Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Disease.
Our dynamic team uses state-of-the-art laboratory methods to study Parkinson's disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and other related neurodegenerative diseases. The successful candidate will have a research interest in studying neurodegenerative disease-associated proteins using a range of techniques including at the molecular, cellular and in vivo level.
Candidates should be well versed in standard molecular techniques, including protein extraction and analyses, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, Western Blot and cell culture. Familiarity working with transgenic mice, including stereotaxic surgery and behavioural analyses would be a strong asset.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent (highly qualified candidates with demonstrable skills may be considered). They will be expected to work with the supervisor on specific projects. Further, in collaboration with the supervisor, training/supervision of undergraduate students will also be required.
