Economic analysis of marine plastic pollution.
Oceans and Inland Waters
A central part of the project is developing a hydrodynamic 3D model (GETM) for the Salish Sea, coupled with a biogeochemical model, and linked via a zooplankton model (Hunt et al.) to food web (EwE-Ecospace) and IBM models. The modeling complex has a 1 km spatial resolution, and is initially implemented to run from 1979 up to the present.
