The Postdoctoral Fellows Office was pleased to host our fourth annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week Barbecue on Tuesday, September 22, 2016, as part of the National Postdoc Association’s seventh-annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week.
We were thrilled to have faculty, staff and over 100 postdocs in attendance for an afternoon of camaraderie, networking, and ice cream, making this year’s postdoc appreciation event our biggest yet. The delicious barbecue was topped off with a drawing for a series of prizes generously donated by H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Koerner’s Pub, Loafe Café, Mahony & Sons, UBC Opera, UBC School of Music, Vancouver Lookout, VIFF, and Wesbrook Village.
The Postdoctoral Fellows Office, located within the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, provides support, development opportunities, and advocacy for the over 800-strong postdoc community at UBC. We look forward to celebrating our postdocs during the eighth annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week from September 18 – 22, 2017.
