Dr. Elizabeth Borycki is a professor at the school of Health Information Science at the University of Victoria and has extensive experience in clinical informatics, health information technology design, and technology management. During Digital Health Week, she will be leading an informative educational session on evaluating web and mobile-based digital health interventions.

Presentation title: Health Information Systems Evaluation: Methods and Considerations

Learning Objectives. After attending, participants will be able to:

  • Define what a health information system is.
  • Define what can be evaluated.
  • Identify the main approaches used in evaluating health information systems and technologies.
  • Identify where and when an evaluation should take place in the systems development lifecycle.
